Meet Robin — a macOS file shelf

A sidekick for your cursor.

Robin is a quiet macOS overlay. Flick him up right where you’re working, drop files onto his shelf, carry them across any app, and shrink, convert or unlock them on the way. Then he’s gone.

No window, no Dock icon. Robin is nowhere in sight.

Give your mouse a quick shake…

…and he pops up right beneath your cursor.

Head anywhere. He tags along.

Always at your pointer’s shoulder, never in the way.

Shake again…

…and he’s gone.

How it works

Follow a file through.

Pick up, drop off, no windows in between.

File actions

The shelf does real work.

Run one action on everything at once. Robin never touches your originals.

Shrink

4.8 MB in, 0.9 MB out. You see the estimate first.

Convert

PNG to JPG, HEIC, even PDF.

Scale

Resize by percent, the whole shelf at once.

Remove password

Locked PDFs go in, open copies come out.

Pin

Robin holds his spot while you work.

Clear

One tap empties the shelf. Originals stay put.

Summon

Call him your way.

All three land in the same place, right at your cursor.

A keystroke

Control Command D out of the box. Remap it anytime.

A mouse shake

A quick wiggle wakes him. Nothing to remember.

The drag itself

Pick up files and the shelf opens right under them.

Give your cursor a sidekick.

A tiny, quiet macOS utility that stays out of the way until the moment you need somewhere to put a file.
